Samsung is expanding its partnership with Nanoleaf, a company known for making versatile RGB and RGBW LED lighting in various forms, shapes, and sizes. Nanoleaf's lighting products can now synchronize with the music you are listening to or the games you are playing on your TV via SmartThings Music Sync.
Additionally, you can now configure custom routines for these lights directly through the SmartThings app.
SmartThings Music Sync is now compatible with Nanoleaf's LED lights
While SmartThings could previously turn Nanoleaf lights on and off, the system can now respond dynamically to your activities. For instance, if you are listening to music, the lights can react by changing brightness and colors based on the beats of a specific track.
Because Nanoleaf's lights now connect directly to the music source on your Galaxy phone, they react much faster and without delay. This feature is more accurate than previous versions because it ignores ambient noise in the room and focuses solely on the digital audio input.
When you are gaming on a Samsung TV, Nanoleaf's LED lights can react to background music, in-game soundtracks, and even specific audio effects. You can also integrate these lights with other SmartThings-compatible devices in your home using SmartThings Routines. For example, you can create an automation to gradually increase brightness in the morning or after sunset, dim the lights at bedtime, or turn them off automatically when you leave the house.
To use these features, you simply need a SmartThings Hub. This functionality is built into many recent Samsung products, including QLED, Neo QLED, OLED, The Frame, and The Serif series TVs. It is also available in Bespoke AI Laundry Combo washers and dryers, Family Hub refrigerators, flagship soundbars (HW-Q990C or newer), Smart Monitors (M80C or newer), and The Premiere series projectors.
